LONDON — Baddo is coming to Greenwich. Nigerian rap star Olamide will headline The O2 Arena in London on Thursday, March 25, 2027, the biggest London headline show of his career.

The concert at the 20,000-capacity venue is presented by Hera Touring in association with Olamide's own label, YBNL Entertainment. It follows his sold-out headline show at OVO Arena Wembley in November 2025, a clear step up for the YBNL boss.

"Standing on The O2 stage is something I've dreamed about for a long time," Olamide said, adding that London had shown him love from his early days.

"A coronation"

The promoters are not holding back. "OVO Wembley Arena was a statement. The O2 London is a coronation," said Abi Babalola of Hera Touring, who described Olamide as one of the builders of Afrobeats' rise as a global sound.

The O2 is one of the world's most famous concert venues, and a headline show there has become a major milestone for African artists. Olamide now joins a growing list of Afrobeats stars who have taken top billing at the Greenwich arena.

What fans can expect

The show is billed as a career-spanning set covering every era of Olamide's journey:

  • the street-hop anthems that made his name
  • big hits from across his catalogue
  • songs from his acclaimed self-titled 2025 album, Olamidé
  • special guests, with appearances from Afrobeats and UK stars expected

Olamide has promised to bring the sound and energy of Lagos to London.

Why Olamide matters

Few artists have shaped modern Nigerian music like Olamide. He helped push Yoruba-language rap and street-pop into the mainstream, switching between Yoruba and English while staying close to the streets of Lagos.

His influence goes far beyond his own songs. Through YBNL, the label he founded, he has helped launch or boost the careers of stars including Fireboy DML, Asake and Adekunle Gold, artists who are now headline acts in their own right.

His music also travels well across West Africa, where it remains a fixture at parties and on radio, including here in Ghana.
